MIYworkshop at Craftaganza Live – This Wednesday Evening!
So I’ve just got back from Devon and I’ve hit the ground running!… It’s been a while since the last Craftaganza Live event so I am really looking forward to seeing everybody on Wednesday evening, June 26th.
Wendy Ward will be taking the stage to tell us about her journey to opening MIY Workshop on North Road in the centre of Brighton. Wendy has been teaching sewing classes in Brighton since 2007 and as a fully qualified teacher, with a fashion degree, went on to open her creative space in January of 2012.
As well as having her own fashion label, Wendy offers a wide range of sewing classes where you can make garments and repair and alter clothes, all are small classes with up to 5 students, she also offers one to one tuition. As well as the sewing classes you can also learn pattern cutting with a view to designing your own clothes.
The workshop is fully equipped and in a great central location, Wendy has obviously worked super hard to come to this point, I am really interested in hearing about her journey to opening the space and what it is like to run a busy creative business such as this. There is lots of information on the MIYworkshop website.
The talk will be taking place in the usual bar at The Old Market, Hove. Doors open at 7pm and the talk will begin at 7:45pm, it’s this wednesday 26th June and is totally free but do bring pennies for the bar!
Look forward to seeing you there…
