The Encroaching Spring
It’s time to dust the cobwebs off the old blog and “spring” back into action!
The end of 2011 was super crazy for me, from the moment the Woodland collection launched at Platform I didn’t stop until mid Jan, the Rock Cakes Etsy shop is doing well with orders being taken from all over the world, lots of fun was had at the end of year shows here in Brighton and things were nice and busy at Brazen Studios up in Glasgow.
There are already lots of dates in the diary for 2012, with Makers Boutiques running throughout the year, the first Craftaganza is booked for march 24th and I am really looking forward to this years Brighton Open House where I will be joining a lovely crew of people putting on a show in Brunswick Square, Hove, for the four weekends of May – YAY!
As well as Etsy, Rock Cakes is now available on notonthehighstreet .com bringing the jewellery to a wider UK audience, exciting things are on the horizon as the little brand grows.
I have recently had a little interview with Zoe of Craftaganza about my love of Etsy, running a business whilst being a fulltime Mum and the Etsy Conference which I attended in Berlin last September, it will be published soon on the Craftaganza blog, I will also tweet a link when it is up!
New jewellery designs and products will coming at you throughout the year in the form of precious and non precious pieces, with the first being a shiny new acrylic brain, there will be plenty of Gocco and photography work mixed in too for good measure….
You can see what is getting my heart racing on Pinterest, see my photographs on Flickr, and my jewellery on Etsy, noths and of course the website, you can also follow me on Twitter for regular mumblings.
Well that’s me checking in, alive and kicking and getting into action!
To get yourself an acrylic Brain Brooch check them out on Etsy for just $14 – double YAY!!
