Welcome to March!
I have been working on a collection for each month, and March is clearly a time to celebrate women.
We have International Women's Day on Saturday the 8th and Mother's day at the end of the month, March 30th.
And so, in honour of the awesome women in our lives, I have redesigned the RockCakes medals.
On a personal note, as a mother, daughter and business owner I understand the pressures we are often facing - balancing everything we want to do with the realities of daily life. We are masters at saying "yes" to everything, only to find a whole lot of exhaustion in all this juggling. Be it with work, or in our personal lives, the demands can be overwhelming and anxiety inducing.
A heartfelt "Thank You" can be a powerful antidote to resentment. Knowing that you are seen and appreciated makes the juggle more of a pleasure than a chore.
With this in mind the medals symbolise a Thank You. A small reminder of gratitude that we are appreciated and valued, a little chance to pause and take a day off.
They are designed to be given as gifts, but also are a chance to communicate that you are taking a break without saying a word...
Each medal is carefully hand sewn at the RockCakes HQ here in Hastings, from super lush new acrylic and candy colour fabrics.
