The Brand
RockCakes is an independent jewellery brand run by me Sarah Meredith, based in Hastings, UK.
You are at the heart of the brand 💕 The jewellery is designed to put smiles on faces, to help you express yourself with forever playful pieces that you can connect with. They are the intricate details to an outfit, talking points and a way to add joy into your day - especially when you are out and about.

A Brief History
Founded RockCakes in 2008, after leaving my role as jewellery production manager for a luxury brand in London - I hit a wall and needed a calmer life. I longed for the creative freedom I had experienced during my jewellery degree days. I had so many ideas popping around in my head, I craved sharing these playful possibilities with the world. I had learned so much about luxury jewellery production, I wanted to offer the same quality to women like me. So, I took the leap, left my job, moved to the south coast, and started RockCakes, designing fun and playful jewellery that has heart and soul...

The Jewellery
The ethos behind the brand is simple: to spark joy, spread positive vibes and put smiles on faces.
Precious pieces - Some designs are made in-house here at the Hastings HQ. The more intricate designed are made by our awesome Brighton based goldsmith with amazing traditional jewellery skills. All of the casting is done here on the south coast by a dedicated jewellery casting team. The engraving is hand done by a traditional engraver who has been a master of this skill since the 1980's! The metal is recycled sterling silver and gold. Stones are ethically sourced from one of Londons top stone supplier and are all gem quality. The precious jewellery is designed and made to last a lifetime if loved and looked after. I offer full aftercare and am here to help with cleaning and questions that may arise.
We can also work with metal and stones that you may already have, reusing, repurposing and recycling heirlooms so that they are enjoyed and not lonely and ignored!
Laser Cuts - All of the designing is done in-house! We work with two uk laser cutters who supply us with the best options of materials, lush colours, super sweet foil and glitter acrylics and a selection of wood. I cut in very small batches and hand assemble everything here at the Hastings hq.
Enamel Pins - All enamel pins are drawn and designed in house. We use a Birmingham based company to help with the production. The aim is to make little pieces of art that can easily be gifted and enjoyed.

Customer Care
You are at the heart of what I do - I know I've said that already! Without super lovely awesome vibey women the brand cannot exist. I offer a full customer care service, from answering initial queries, helping with accurate measurements and making bespoke pieces unique to you.

Timings
Non precious pieces are kept in stock in small quantities we ship within 3 working days.

Precious Necklaces and earrings are generally kept in stock in singular numbers and can be shipped within 3 working days.

Precious rings are generally made to order so that we can make them to fit - a well fitting ring a happy thing to own! Depending on the design this can take 3 days to 4 weeks to make - see individual lead times on all products. If you need something quickly please get in touch we may be able to bump you up the production queue!

Delivery
All deliveries are done with Royal Mail.
When placing an order you can choose your delivery method.

UK 
First Class £3.40 - 1-2 days Monday - Saturday
Second Class £2 - 2-4 days Monday - Saturday
Special Delivery £8 - Next Day by 1pm - Monday - Friday

Europe
Standard Delivery £5 - 3-11 Working Days
Tracked and Signed Delivery £10 - 3-7 Working Days

Rest of the beautiful world
Standard Delivery £6 -  4-20  Working Days
Tracked and Signed Delivery £12 - 4-14 Working Days

** We are in the hands of the gods when items are in transport. It is very rare for a package to go missing in the postal system. Insuring that the delivery address supplied is accurate, I take full responsibility for missing packages - 14 days in the uk and 28 days outside of the uk. I will replace missing items after this time. During the festive period - November 20th to January 5th the postal system can be very busy, delays can occur, especially if items need to clear customs. I would recommend choosing a signed for service during this time. I am on hand to help with delivery queries and concerns.**

Returns and Exchanges 
I want you to be super happy and love your jewellery. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return or exchange eligible items within 28 days of purchase, subject to the conditions below.

Eligibility for Returns

• Items must be returned in original condition, unused, and with all original packaging, including any certificates and tags.
• Custom-made, engraved, or personalised items are non-returnable unless there is a defect in workmanship. This applies mostly to rings and custom made gold pieces.
• Jewellery that has been sized or adapted by a third party.

Refund Methods

• Refunds will be processed to your original payment method once we receive the returned item.
• If you prefer, we can issue store credit or an exchange for another item.

Shipping Costs

• For returns due to defects or errors on our part, we will cover the cost of return shipping.
• For all other returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Import Duties - Outside of the UK
As the recipient you are responsible for import duties, tax and administration charges that maybe applied by your local customs. 

Repair Service
I offer a full repair service and will fix your jewellery in every case where possible. Costs for this vary so please get in touch with enquiries and I will work with you to have your pieces wearable again. Lets avoid landfill and keep our pieces cherished and enjoyed. 💕
