How to Measure Your Finger to Order a Ring That Actually Fits 💕

There's nothing more disappointing that choosing a ring, waiting for it to arrive, only to find that it doesn't fit - too big so it wobbles around or too small so you can't even get it on!

Here are a few tips and tricks for measuring your finger at home to get the perfect ring size...

The most accurate way is to get yourself a Multisizer. These great little gadgets can be used again and again. They are a little bendy plastic belt that wraps around your finger with the uk A-Z markings on them. You can pop one on your hand and have a real good play with it so that you know the fit is comfortable. I sell them in my store, they will arrive with a voucher so when you place an order you are reimbursed. They can be ordered here. :)

If you already have a ring that fits, we can measure the diameter to work out your required size, all you need is a mm ruler. First check that your ring is round, if it is oval you wont get an accurate size. Place and centre your ring on the mm part of the ruler, take a top down photograph to send to me, so we can see the size that you need. This method works well if the ring is to be a surprise but it does take a little cunning to not get caught!

Measure your finger with a piece of paper. This can be trickier than sounds but it is possible to get a size this way. Cut a strip of paper 5-10mm wide and simply wrap it around the part of your finger where the ring will sit. Mark with a pen or pencil where the paper overlaps and then measure the length of paper - this is the internal circumference of your ring. We can convert the millimeter length into your ring size. Once the length is measured it is worth sellotaping the paper together and just checking the you can get the paper ring on and off easily.
