Polish and play...
That’s where my work sits.
One feeds the other.
In ceramics, the materials let me be free.
It lets my mind wander.
It allows for mistakes.
In precious metal, there has to be focus.
Precision.
Weight.
Commitment.
One is polished,
and the other is play.
If you visit my work,
you’ll notice the prices
and probably wonder
"What's going on?"
Expensive and accessible.
Gold and porcelain.
Highly polished and a little bit free.
Maybe it reflects something honest.
We are not one thing.
We are playful and serious.
Careful and experimental.
Refined and rough around the edges.
My ceramics keep my thinking open.
My precious work keeps my standards high.
Maybe they can coexist?
Polish and play.
